Club 12 Alcoholics Anonymous

Dear Members,

                First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR! May 2016 bring us all peace, joy, happiness, prosperity and abundance and may Club 12 have its best year ever!

                At the Annual Membership Meeting held on December 16th, Mike Carvey was voted in as our newest board member. We welcome Mike and look forward to working with him.

                The seven days of Christmas were a huge success and many thanks to Irma H. for chairing this event and to all the groups and meetings who contributed food, time and energy to make these seven days so successful. It’s wonderful to see everyone come together over the holidays and pull together.

                New Year’s Eve was a huge success and the Club was packed! Many thanks to the Oxford Houses who along with Club 12 put this event together. The Club was beautifully decorated and the food was plentiful and great. Once again, it was a great opportunity for us all to get together to bring in the New Year and to show newcomers that we can have a lot of fun without alcohol being involved.   It was one on the best New Year’s parties in quite a while. While fundraisers are important, it is just as important to show that we can have fun!

                We have gotten off to a great start so let’s keep the momentum going!

                There are plans for a Rummage Sale this year and it will probably be held in April so don’t forget to put your stuff to one side when you’re spring cleaning. More information will be forthcoming as we get closer to April. We will make arrangements for a container to be placed in the parking lot. If you would like to help with this event, please attend the next Membership Meeting.

                The Membership Meeting takes place on the 3rd Monday of the month in the old bookstore and starts at 6.45pm. This meeting is a forum for ideas for fundraisers but also if there are ideas/suggestions that you would like taken back to the board for consideration.

                The Board Meeting takes place on the last Monday of the month at 6.30p.m. in the old bookstore. Anyone is welcome to attend as an observer but if you would like something placed on the agenda, please notify the Club Manager two weeks in advance.
